KATHY MCGARRIGLE, DIRECTOR
12UAAA, 14AA, 19AA HEAD COACH

Kathy begins her 16th year with the Lady Ducks program and her 16th year coaching hockey. A former USC Division I college tennis player and elite soccer player and 4-letter athlete in High School, Kathy began playing hockey after college, where she learned the game quickly in adult leagues and attending youth clinics run by Jack White. As a player, she went on to participate in 8 USAH Women's Nationals, earning medals a few times.

Kathy, now in her 22nd year as a Science & Physical Education teacher, began coaching hockey in 1996. In addition to her Sports Journalism degree from USC, she earned her Masters in 1998 in Kinesiology and sport history (writing the Thesis: Female Hockey in the United States 1898-1998). She took her knowledge of young athlete development, background in instruction and training as a tennis instructor/coach the ten years previous, and developed the fledgling Anaheim Lady Ducks into the Nationally-Recognized Female Hockey Program that it is today.

In her spare time, Kathy enjoys travel, especially locations with historical significance. In 1997, she taped the 98 Olympic NIKE commercial with Cammi Granato, “Just Do It!”.

zer TRACY FRAZER

8U, 10U HEAD COACH

Tracy Frazer begins her 8th year with the Lady Ducks where she continues to work with young players in skill development and is known for her popularity among players, making the game fun and a sport for a lifetime for our LD players.

Tracy, a Master at Kung-fu, has taken her multi-sport background and is focused on developing young girls into great hockey players and strong positive young women. Tracy’s background in softball, roller hockey, Kung-Fu, football, bowling, among others, gave her the foundation to understand what it takes to be disciplined on and off the ice, for success!

After competing at several NarCh women’s championships, Tracy came over to ice hockey and competed Nationally with the So Cal Rays women’s club. After earning medals at Nationals, Tracy moved to support the Lady Ducks at the in-house level at termite, 8u and 10u.  Her goals were simple: Help establish the FOUNDATION for the future of girls’ hockey; Build skills and the LD program from the youngest players up, by teaching young girls from their first day on the ice through what is now known as the ADM. This continues to be Tracy’s area of strength and she is excited to continue developing great LD talent!

Danielle Ramirez DANIELLE RAMIREZ
14UAAA ASSISTANT

Coach Dani returns to the Lady Ducks and will assist with the 14UAAA. Dani only began playing hockey when she was 12 but quickly improved and honed her skills. A Lady Duck alumni (2000- 2003), helping the program to win its first Pacific District Championship in 2001, Dani went on to play Division I Hockey at the University of Vermont, where she also earned a BA in Sociology and a minor in Anthropology.

In 2011-12, Coach Dani, took the Lady Ducks 12uAA team all the way to the Pacific District Championship game, surprising many with the growth of that group is such a short time.
