Lady Ducks Showcase Team are JWHL Challenge Cup 17u Champs!
2/27/2014
The Anaheim Lady Ducks Showcase team of top 17u players competed over Presidents' weekend in the JWHL Challenge Cup and came away with a Championship Banner.  After outscoring opponents 25-3 and going 6-0 in the weekend, the girls earned an amazing championship through hard work,  relentless offense and consistent defense. Many of the girls on this showcase team are NCAA Division I-bound student athletes in the very near future.
The Lady Ducks program continues to work toward growing the sport for all girls and supporting the development and  exposure to those athletes committed to the highest level of competition in North America.
Congratulations to the outstanding girls on this squad!

Lady Ducks: Do It For Daron, wearing PURPLE on DIFD Weekend
2/11/2014

The Lady Ducks spent the week wearing purple and talking about DIFD.  It is an important time to discuss teen mental health and let all young people know that we all have a support system and there is ALWAYS someone you can talk to when there is trouble or tough times.  Be there for a friend or a teammate. go out of your way to show someone you care and are there for them if they might need you.  Listen.  You can make a difference.

FINAL Olympic roster Announced
1/1/2014

Youngest Women's Team USA Member is Released

19-year-old, Annie Pankowski was officially released from the Final US Women's Olympic Roster. She would have been the youngest player on the team and the only one with no college experience to this point. Mark Johnson, head coach of Wisconsin on Pankowski: “She has gotten great exposure and wonderful opportunities to not only play with the U.S. national team, but to work out with them and be around them on a daily basis. There are some fantastic mentors on that group, with Meghan (Duggan), Brianna (Decker), Jessie (Vetter), Hilary (Knight) and some of the other players who are part of that group. It is a great opportunity for her to grow as a player, and as she enters her freshman year next fall at Wisconsin, she is going to be that much better and experienced. We are excited for her opportunity that she has had this year and look forward to her coming in next fall. I think Badger fans will be excited to see her develop and continue her growth process during her four years at Wisconsin.”

All Lady Ducks are SO PROUD of Annie's amazing accomplishment and wish her the best at Wisconsin over the next 4 years.  She will be starting next fall to begin her college hockey career.  Barring a late injury or illness by a TEAM USA member, Annie will not make the trip to Socchi.  We know you will be back in that mix again, Annie!  We wish you and our USA Women's Olympic Team the greatest Success!
