The philosophy of the Lady Ducks Ice Hockey program is two fold. First, as a program committed to fundamentals and skill development, all LD coaches work to provide a positive but thorough learning environment for girls to acquire individual and team skills. This includes a commitment to intense skating skills (edges, transition skating, etc...), puck control techniques and shooting skills. By combining a confident and skilled player with a team of her peers, she will excel to her potential.

Next, a high level of competitive play and more intense training at the 12U and above ages will provide each girl with the opportunity to be exposed to more pressure in games, both locally and with travel, and continue to improve the overall skills of player and team. High school-aged girls will be exposed to prep scouts and colleges through travel to high exposure tournaments in the Midwest and on the East coast.

Girls that earn high grades in school may have excellent opportunities to play college hockey if they work hard both in the classroom and on the ice. The Lady Ducks are committed to getting exposure for the players who fit into this group of potential college athletes.

Finally, the Anaheim Lady Ducks hope to provide a great nurturing environment to female hockey players to be the best person they can be and have confidence in all that they pursue in the future.
